Physicians
Kevin P. DiBenedetto, M.D.
Dr.
DiBenedetto is a native of Baton Rouge. Upon graduation from Louisiana
Tech University at Ruston, Louisiana, he attended Louisiana State
University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he received his
medical degree. Dr. DiBenedetto completed his residency in Family
Practice at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and
is board certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine. Dr.
DiBenedetto is a partner in the Lake After Hours/Total Occupational
Medicine parent company, Convenient Care, L.L.C. and serves as Chairman
of the Board and co-medical director for all clinics. In addition, Dr.
DiBenedetto services as the Lab Director for all Lake After Hours
facilities.
Graham E. Tujague, M.D.
Dr.
Tujague is a Shreveport, Louisiana native. Upon graduation from Nicholls
State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Dr. Tujague attended Louisiana
State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he received
his medical degree. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at
Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Tujague is
board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the
American Board of Urgent Care Medicine and is a certified Medical Review
Officer (MRO). As a partner in the Lake After Hours/Total Occupational
Medicine parent company, Convenient Care, L.L.C., Dr. Tujague serves as
co-medical director. He is also a member of the American Academy of
Urgent Care Medicine, American Society of Internal Medicine/American
College of Physicians, Louisiana State Medical Society, and East Baton
Rouge Parish Medical Society.
Gary Brandt, M.D.
Dr.
Brandt graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans with honors.
He has training in General/Trauma Surgery at LSUMC and over 17 years of
Emergency Medicine experience. Dr. Brandt also served as Medical
Director of the Emergency Department and on the Board of Directors at a
local area hospital prior to joining the team at Lake After Hours.
Munir Khalid-Abasi, D.O.
Dr.
Khalid-Abasi is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and
Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his residency in Internal
Medicine at Dallas-Fort Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. Dr.
Khalid-Abasi is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and serves as the
medical director for Total Occupational Medicine. He is currently a
member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, American Osteopathic
Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Internist.
Michael Hodgeson, M.D.
Dr.
Hodgeson is a native of the Baton Rouge area. Upon graduation from Lee
University in Tennessee, Dr. Hodgeson attended East Tennessee State
University College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. He
completed his residency at In His Image Family Practice Residency in
Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Hodgeson is board certified in Family Practice and
is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of
Family Physicians, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Dominick J. Scimeca, Jr., M.D.
Dr.
Scimeca is a Louisiana native. Upon graduation from Northeast Louisiana
University in Monroe, Dr. Scimeca attended Louisiana State University School
of Medicine in New Orleans, where he received his medical degree. He
completed his family medicine residency program at Earl K. Long Memorial
Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Scimeca is board certified by the
American Academy of Family Physicians and is a certified Medical Review
Officer. Dr. Scimeca has memberships with the American Academy of Family
Physicians, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine,
Louisiana State Medical Society and East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society.
Dr. Scimeca has been practicing occupational medicine for over 20 years and
serves as an occupational medicine consultant to several area chemical
plants.
Jocelyn Wood, M.D.
Dr.
Jocelyn Wood is originally from Ohio and attended the University of
Dayton for her undergraduate education. She received her medical
degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. Her first
year of residency was at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She then completed her last two years of residency at Alton Ochsner
Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to joining
Lake After Hours, she was a medical director/primary care physician at a
community health clinic and an urgent care physician in New Orleans.
She is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the
American Medical Association as well as the American Academy of Family
Physicians.
