Lake After Hours Clinics Implement DocuTap Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
System
Lake After Hours clinics located in Baton
Rouge, Denham Springs, and Hammond recently implemented the DocuTap
electronic medical records system. The DocuTap system replaces paper medical
records that are familiar to most physician practices.
DocuTAP software allows physicians to access and document patient
information at the point of care using a wireless handheld computer. The
system features automated and customizable tools that enhance providers’
ability to deliver and manage patient care. Lake After Hours patients will
soon be able to register for their visit online.
“DocuTap will allow our clinics to utilize one system for clinical
documentation and practice management,” said Steve Sellars, President of
Lake After Hours. “More importantly, it will ultimately enable our providers
to improve efficiency and the quality of care provided to our patients.”
